Demo Day: Students take the first step toward landing a dream job!

As we prepare for the May 2021 Demo Day, here’s a recap on what happend in March 2021!

What’s Demo Day, you may ask?

In the world of software engineering it’s not just about what you know but being able to present what you can build. Demo day highlights student projects to potential employers.

Demo Day is an event where we invite our local employers to attend (currently via Zoom) and watch each of the participating alumni present how their applications & code in a 5 min timeframe. We organize a Demo Day after the most recent cohort completes the curriculum at LearningFuze and those who are eligible to participate have completed their portfolio.

The alumni who showcased their projects to local employers for the March 2021 Demo Day:

Chris Gitmed – cgitmed.dev
Daniel Sungwon Lee – danielsungwonlee.netlify.app
Viviane Kodama M. Vieira – vivianev.com

Why do LearningFuze alumni attend Demo Day?

Demo Day gives LearningFuze alumni a chance to meet the employers face-to-face and allows employers to meet the person behind the resume. Chris Gitmed actually got an interview scheduled with one of the hiring managers right after presenting at Demo Day! Demo Day is a great opportunity for new alumni to demonstrate their coding and interpersonal skills that hiring managers value.

Hopefully you can join a Demo Day too!
