Thanks to Ravi for taking the time to come to the LearningFuze facility to discuss his company and how as CEO he has developed a thriving organization experiencing rapid growth. He provides insight into his Journey as the CEO of Technijian as a systems engineer and physics graduate and how it was formed through his network of former colleagues and word of mouth given his knack and reputation for creating solutions through technology.

Through force of will and personality, Ravi was able to forge a dynamic company that provides multiple solutions for clients including IT support, application development, security and cloud hosting. This certainly is apropos as the word Technijian is a combination of two words; technician and jian. Jian is a zen word that means “master of all disciplines”. Technijian works to be one stop shopping for clients and has been very successful with this approach.

As it pertains to application development he has a team of developers that are steeped in several languages in order to meet the needs of a diverse client base. In fact, Ravi shared sage advice to the students that as a developer it is important to be open to learning and exploring new languages to always be improving and increasing your value. Several of his developers have taken this advice to heart by tackling specific projects outside of their comfort zone with the result of gaining new skills by building on their base of knowledge as a developer. It was impressive to hear the myriad of diverse projects that employees are able to tackle. One of the key messages from the discussion is to always be challenging yourself given the ever changing world of web development!
