Student Projects

Student Final Projects

Below we have included a sampling of actual final projects. At LearningFuze, students get to come up with a custom final project idea that they want to build. They are assigned two instructors - one of which is one of our three senior developers who each have 10+ years of real world experience and have led sizable teams of developers in the workplace. Students are taken through the full project life cycle including aspects such as:

  • Project planning
  • Software architecture
  • Business considerations
  • Minimum viable product (MVP) / items relevant to taking the project to market (if applicable)
  • Interfacing between front-end and back-end portions
  • Providing technical advice / answering questions

Earlier in the program, students work on projects and prototypes which are predetermined and more structured to provide a consistent learning experience and a walk-before-you-can-run approach, but for the final portion students are able to be inventive and focus on working with the technologies of most interest to them, and a large variety of websites / applications are produced.

Projects range from ones that are primarily intended to improve skills while working on an interesting idea all the way to someone having a longtime dream to be able to build a particular web application and attending LearningFuze for that express purpose. Students find the process challenging but rewarding and are able to build things that at the beginning of the program they never would have imagined they would have been able to do by the end.
