Live, online instruction with top-rated curriculum and instructors. A curriculum based on the top rated full time program for students passionate about learning professional development to be employment ready. The Part-Time Comprehensive program is the first modular program of its kind tailored to students who are looking for a part time alternative to the full time program. It is designed to deliver the same content and career services as the full time program, but with the needed flexibility to take the program over time, in steps or "modules" based on your schedule.
Additionally, students looking for skills and knowledge in a particular technical area, but not necessarily all 3 modules, can simply choose to take an individual module of their choice. Simply apply and ensure that you are ready to get the most out of the instruction. Of course, whether taking an individual module or two, the program is all about learning the practical skills of development by building numerous full scale projects in a work like environment led by seasoned instructors.
The program is broken down into 3 different modules of 12 weeks each.
To get the maximum benefit from each module, students are expected to be able to commit between 15 to 20 hours per week including instructional hours which take place on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday between 6:30pm and 9:30pm (PT) for all modules. The following is a brief overview of each module. For detailed module information, and to register for each of the modules, please click on the "Learn More" links below:
HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Git, GitHub, Bootstrap, Command Line Tools
OOP, HTTP, AJAX, APIs, ES6+, Advanced JS, Command Line, Node.js, NPM, Express, PostgreSQL
ES6+, React, Redux, React Router, Webpack, NPM, Firebase, Data Structures and Algorithms, Portfolio, Career Services
The full time program is conducted in a condensed, intensive 14 week period of time. In contrast, the part time program is taken in modules over an extended period to ensure students with all schedule types are able to commit the necessary focused hours found in the full time program. Despite these differences, both programs culminate with graduates that are professionally ready to compete for jobs in the market and develop production ready code. The part time program is optimized for students who are not able to take the full time option due to employment or personal obligations.
Each module of the program is $4,695. Students that take advantage of the early registration discount ($300) can expect to pay $4,395. Payment can be made via credit, debit, cash, or check. Students can also apply for a loan through Ascent for each individual module. Ascent offers fixed interest rates where interest only is paid through the 1st 6 months after class begins and principle + interest thereafter. Students can also take advantage of the "Up-Front Discount" of $1,000 by paying for all 3 modules up-front. Students should contact admissions if interested in taking advantage of this discount.
Students can receive a prorated refund up to 60% of the Part Time Coding Bootcamp module completed. The tuition or cost of the module is considered earned after 60%.
Students will receive in-depth and industry leading assistance in pursuing employment and being job ready upon being accepted to the 3rd module. The final (3rd) module requires applicants to complete Modules 1 and 2 in order to be accepted.
Students do not need to have any prior programming experience to join the program. However, students with no programming experience will need to begin with module 1 and take each module in sequence up to the individual level of knowledge and skill the student desires.
Other than Module 1, which requires no prior knowledge or experience, students looking to join any of the other modules (2 - 3) simply need to ensure that they possess the required knowledge and skills as outlined for the particular module upon registering for the course. Once a student registers they will be provided with a comprehensive list of technical skills that are necessary to participate in the module and will need to be able to pass a technical assessment.
To apply students must register for the chosen module by providing contact information and follow the steps provided on the registration page. Requirements for the program are as follows: Students Must be 18 years or older, have a High School diploma or higher, possess a laptop, and have a sincere joy for learning and teamwork.
Students have access to all courses for free/nominal price including all modules in the Part Time Coding Bootcamp as well as the UI/UX Design Course. This is to assist students with brushing up on their skills or learning new skills at any time.
